Kashmir Terrorist Attack: Security Forces in Action After Pahalgam Attack
जम्मू कश्मीर के पहलगाम में आतंकी हमले के बाद सुरक्षा बल एक्शन में हैं. Wednesday saw security forces neutralize two terrorists in an encounter. A significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from them.
On Wednesday, in the Baramulla district, terrorists attempted to infiltrate the LOC, but their efforts were thwarted by security forces, resulting in the killing of two terrorists. Security forces are on high alert following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on Tuesday.
Encounter with Terrorists in Kulgam
जम्मू-कश्मीर के कुलगाम में Wednesday saw an encounter between terrorists and security forces. Officials reported that security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Tangmarg area of Kulgam district after receiving information about the presence of terrorists.
During the operation, the terrorists initiated firing, which was met with retaliatory action from the security forces. Officials stated that there have been no reported casualties so far, but a complete report of the encounter is still awaited.
Commander Brigadier Mayank Shukla Provides Updates
161 Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier Mayank Shukla stated, “Last night, we carried out a counter-infiltration operation. For the past few days, security forces had been receiving continuous intelligence about the movement of Pakistani terrorists in the Uri sector.”
He continued, “On the night of April 22nd and 23rd, around 1 AM, the Indian Army received information about the presence of terrorists at a launchpad near the Uri Nala. Subsequently, troops redeployed drones and ambush teams. The activities of the terrorists near the LOC were monitored, and when they crossed the LOC at approximately 3 AM, the troops ambushed them, resulting in the killing of two terrorists after a two-hour gunfight.”
Large Cache of Ammunition Recovered
161 Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier Mayank Shukla reported that security forces are conducting continuous search operations in the dense forest. The Jammu and Kashmir Police are working to identify the killed terrorists. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition has been recovered from the terrorists.
Security forces have seized 2 AK rifles, a 9mm Chinese pistol, magazines, and a substantial amount of ammunition. Furthermore, a 10 kg IED has also been recovered.

Search Operation Continues
Security forces are on high alert following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and are conducting search operations in various locations. Previously, in South Kashmir’s Pahalgam, terrorists attacked the famous tourist destination Baisaran, known as ‘Mini Switzerland,’ on Tuesday, resulting in at least 26 fatalities and numerous injuries.
