Also, remember that summer vacations in Delhi schools began on May 11 and will continue until June 30, 2025. Teachers, mark your calendars: June 28 and June 30 are working days for you! Even the University of Delhi recognizes Buddha Purnima as an official holiday.

Rajasthan

As a precautionary measure, authorities have announced the closure of all public and private schools across five districts in Rajasthan: Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Barmer. According to an Indian Express report dated May 10, District Collector Pratap Singh Nathawat stated that all schools in the border district of Jaisalmer will remain closed until further notice.

Punjab

Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo has announced dedicated helpline numbers to assist students returning to their home states. Following an appeal from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, several private schools in Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal have also ordered closures from May 9, advancing their summer vacations.
