• Acting as a liaison between the Accounting and Finance departments and various business partners, including in-country business managers, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit and Financial Planning.
• Developing knowledge of accounting tools and applications, identifying opportunities for improvement, and managing projects to enhance efficiency through automation, optimization and an extended workforce.
• Maintaining an effective internal control environment, ensuring accuracy of financial accounts.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
• At least 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Desired Skills and Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

• 5+ years of work experience in a financial reporting/operational accounting role.
• Experience with SQL and spreadsheet software.
• Familiarity with accounting principles, including India GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to lead complex operational initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
