Opportunities for Assistant Manager – Finance (AP)
Swiggy is currently inviting applications for the position of Assistant Manager – Finance (AP), offering a chance to contribute to the financial backbone of a major Indian brand.
Desired Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess a strong foundation in accounting and finance, coupled with relevant experience. Key qualifications include:
- 1+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
- CA or CMA preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with articleship from B4 or equivalent CA firms.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Good communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Excellent skills in handling large volumes of data using MS Excel & other applications.
- Experience with creating financial statements in Schedule-III format.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. Working knowledge of Zoho Books is an added advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations. Responsibilities include:
- End-to-end financial reporting and closure of P2P related financial statement captions (Purchase, Payables etc.).
- Coordinating with business finance and central controllership team for closure of month-end MIS reporting.
- Publishing dashboards for review by Operations and Business teams.
- Assisting in various internal automation projects.
- Ensuring timely resolution of queries through proactive coordination with Stakeholders.
- Ensuring proper vendor reconciliation on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Preparing detailed and robust SOPs for the respective sub-functions (accounting, reporting, reconciliation, payouts etc.).
- Working with cross-functional stakeholders for inputs and reporting requirements.
- Driving cross-functional initiatives requiring influence.
- Proactively raising concerns and resolving them with an owner mindset.
